Montana Enduro Series - RENDEZVOUS ENDURO - Jackson Hole, WY

The Montana Enduro Series is the brainchild of the Montana Bicycle Guild. The whole thing grew from a conversation on a cold night in November, 2013, in Helena, Montana. We realized that we wanted to see an enduro series in our part of the world and that nobody was doing it. After that conversation and a couple phone calls, there was a team that consisted of a geologist, a bike shop owner, a physical therapist, a couple lawyers, a marketing guy, a plumber, and some engineers.

Then, pretty much exactly like the Power Rangers, we assembled and started doing stuff. Planning, plotting, scheming, and getting the boulder rolling. A couple months later we had bylaws, a conflict of interest policy, and a board of directors. A few amazing sponsors jumped in on the action and we got some permits approved. All of a sudden the 2014 Montana Enduro Series happened. Those four races in 2014 led to the crowning of the first ever Montana Enduro Series Champions.

Now that we’re in our ninth year, we’re badder, faster, and leaner than ever before. The Montana Bicycle Guild’s purpose is to promote Montana’s bicycle racing scene and bicycle community. We also work tirelessly to produce Montana’s and the Rocky Mountain’s premier enduro race series, the Montana Enduro Series.  We are even a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. We’ve even got a fancy letter from the IRS to prove it.

But it’s not about us.  Don’t get us wrong, we love really do love making these races happen.  We help make our community and our friends’ communities better.  The long hours of work making the MES happen every year are worth it.

This years much anticipated Big Sky BME will showcase some of the best enduro tracks in the Northwest, and arguably some of the gnarliest trails in the US. Over the course of the 2-day event in June, racers can expect 4 stages per day and over 9,000 feet of descending. True to any BME event, there will be a solid mix of lift access stages combined with pedal transitions each race day.

The terrain at Big Sky is steep, big and technical. Not to mention some of the best scenery and natural beauty on the BME tour. Big Sky Resort has more than 50 miles of hiking and biking trails, with more than 40 miles dedicated to mountain biking. Enjoy lift serviced downhill mountain biking for all levels and abilities, with connector trails that allow bikers to ride all the way down to the Big Sky town center. Each year, Big Sky Resort adds to and improves its network of downhill and flow trails. Big Sky Resort is always ranked in the top five bike parks in the Northwest by MTBParks.com.
